History
Entidad bancaria chilena,creada en 1944, fue estatizada en 1971 bajo el gobierno de Salvador Allende, luego bajo el gobierno de Augusto Pinochet, retornó a manos privadas. Fue uno de los primeros bancos chilenos en operar tarjetas de crédito, a fines de la década de 1990. En noviembre del año 2001, pasó a llamarse oficialmente Scotiabank Sudamericano.
