History
Realizó sus estudios de agronomía en la Universidad Católica, recibiendo su título de Ingeniero Agrónomo en mayo de 1938. Presentó su memoria sobre la “Implantación de la industria sericícola en Chile”, siendo aprobado con tres votos de distinción. En octubre del mismo año ingresó a la planta del Ministerio de Agricultura, en el Departamento de Sanidad Vegetal, hoy llamado Defensa Agrícola.
