Compositor limeño de música popular del siglo 19. Pionero de la Música Criolla peruana fue en su tiempo muy apreciado, nació en Lima el 5 de Abril de 1870 y falleció a los 61 años el 19 de Octubre de 1931. Entre sus obras más reconocidas se encuentran los valses: “Tus Suspiros” ; “Eugenia” ; “Mis Amores” ; “Muero por ti” ; “Cabecitas Rubias” ; “Siempre los Dos” ; “Ojos Azules” ; “En el Circo” (polka que solo musicalizó)
