Johann Baptist Strauss, también conocido como Johann Strauss II, ó, Jr., el Joven, el Hijo, (en alemán: Sohn) fue un compositor austríaco de música ligera, en particular música de danzas de salón y operetas; nació en St. Ulrich, cerca de Viena (actualmente parte de Neubau), Austria; murió en Viena.
Junto a sus hermanos Eduard y Josef, formaron la dinastía Strauss que dominó el ámbito musical de la segunda mitad del siglo 19 en Europa.
