History
En sus inicios sirvió en España en el curato de Torremocha, en Extremadura. Luego se traslada al Virreinato del Perú, en donde fue Vicario y juez ordinario en Potosí y visitador del obispado, una vez concluida la visita, obtuvo el curato de Santa, siendo promovido de allí al de Santa Bárbara del Potosí, para finalmente llegar al mayor de esa ciudad.
En 1632 se le designa para el obispado de la Concepción (reino de Chile).
