History
En 1878 se creó el Hospicio de la ciudad de Viña del Mar. Al año siguiente, en 1879, el establecimiento adquirió el carácter de enfermería, lo que dio paso a la construcción del Hospital de Viña del Mar. Sucesivas administraciones ampliaron sus dependencias, hasta que el 18 de diciembre de 1954 se inauguró el edificio actual, el cual, desde 1969, lleva el nombre del doctor Gustavo Fricke, gestor de su construcción.
